Wako Shoji's main line of products includes high standard apparatus such as ventilators, aspirators, resuscitators and AEDs, to a variety of everyday emergency apparatus such as stretchers, rescue vests, medical vests, tourniquets, collars, as well as CPR training kits. As a Japanese company based in one of the most vulnerable regions under the constant threat of earthquakes, Wako Shoji also places high priority on educating and increasing the disaster preparedness among the professionals and the Japanese public. As part of this effort, Wako Shoji has created a sales team dedicated specifically to work with DMAT and other disaster-specialized hospitals and institutions, providing them with a variety of disaster specific medical apparatus such as protective suits, masks, decontamination tents, radioactive detectors, and the disaster survival kits.
During the Eastern Japan Earthquake that had devastated the Tohoku region in 2011, Wako Shoji contributed to providing many of the necessary emergency medical apparatus and supplies to the the first responder teams on ground. Some of our sales team members have also donated their time volunteering at several key emergency outposts during the disaster.
As the specialist of foreign emergency medical products, Wako Shoji has an ongoing partnership with over 100 product suppliers worldwide, whom we refer to as our "partners." Many of our partners are some of the most recognized names in the business. Our worldwide partners come from Germany, England, Italy, France, Sweden, USA, Canada, Israel and Pakistan, to name a few. One of our greatest strengths is in our commitment and ability to develop and nurture a strong business partnership with our partners, with some of our most enduring partnership extending over 30 years. The fact that Wako Shoji has an exclusive distributor agreement with almost 100% of our partners should speak volumes about the respect and the trust our partners place on us.
Wako Shoji's main strength is in the import and distribution, however, with the years of experiences and the expertise in the emergency medical market, we are also capable of offering our partners with more complete business support including the consulting and the marketing so our partners can establish their business footprints and the long term brand presence in the Japanese market.
Japanese Pharmaceutical Registration
Another one of Wako Shoji's strengths is our expert knowledge and the proven record as the specialist on Japanese Pharmaceutical Registration. In Japan, if a product is classified as medical equipment, then the applicable product is required to receive a certification specific to one of the four predetermined category classes (Class I, Class II, Class III and Class IV), before the product could be marketed and sold in Japanese market. Wako Shoji has a team of specialists dedicated specifically to deal with the product registration, and our team will work directly with our partners to help prepare all necessary documents as well as to make sure that all requirements are met before submitting products for registration. Wako Shoji has successfully registered a variety of products for our partners over the years.
